Description
Red maples are known for their brilliant fall color and rounded canopies. They’re adaptable to a wide range of soils, even wet spots. Avoid planting in heavy alkaline clay to prevent chlorosis. Moderate growth rate, but slower in dry soils. Armstrong Gold has the same upright shape as Armstrong Columnar Red, with more compact, less leggy growth and denser foliage that turns bright gold in the fall.
