Description
Vigorous, upright form. Limber branches make it tolerant of snow load. Tolerates clay, very adaptable. Suffers less winter burn than other pines. Don’t site in overly hot, dry spots. Black Hills native. Pines are versatile evergreens more tolerant of harsh sites than spruces or firs. They have few serious pest problems and can handle a wide range of soil and temperature conditions. Vanderwolf’s Pyramid is a slow growing, Black Hills native upright form with limber branches that allow it to hold snow loads without breaking. It suffers less from wind burn, and can handle clay.For reference only:
