Description
Red maples are known for their brilliant fall color and rounded canopies. They’re adaptable to a wide range of soils, even wet spots. Avoid planting in heavy alkaline clay to prevent chlorosis. Moderate growth rate, but slower in dry soils. Burgundy Belle has a symmetrically oval form and thick leaves that turn from bright red to burgundy as the fall progresses. Selected from stock grown in Kansas, this variety is more heat tolerant than other forms.For reference only:
