Description

Unlike a conventional lime that you’d buy at the grocery store, key limes are smaller, have a thinner, smoother peel, and tend to be more tart. These dwarf citrus have thorns but boast fragrant blossoms in the summer months. Sunlight is crucial – keep near a window with as much bright exposure as possible and take outside when temperatures are above 45 F if possible. Keep in a humid environment away from vents and drafts over the winter months to prevent leaf drop. Feed with citrus fertilizer spring through fall for best yields. Typically, citrus is ready to harvest in the winter months, but can fruit continuously if provided enough light.
