Description
The Paw Paw is the largest tree fruit native to North America. This tree provides a tropical look with 12″ long leaves, dark maroon flowers, and mango-link fruit in September. Few diseases will hurt the tree and pests will avoid it due to it’s bad tasting leaves and bark. You may see the zebra swallowtail butterflies and larvae that feed on it’s young leaves, but are not harmful to the plant. Be warned, the flowers don’t smell pleasant. But, the papaya like fruit is worth it for the creamy texture and sweet flavor. Plant two together if you expect a fruit crop.Additional information
