Description

Redbuds are small, spreading, flat-topped trees with graceful branching. Pinkish flowers emerge from purple buds in early spring, lasting for 2-3 weeks. The Rising Sun has golden apricot new growth, maturing to yellow green. More vibrant, drought resistant, and cold hardy than Hearts of Gold. Small seed pods form in October with golden foliage color. They’re adaptable to a range of soils, but are faster growing with ample moisture.
