Description
Saucer magnolias have pink to purplish flowers with white interiors, blooming early before leaves emerge for a better floral display. Rustica Rubra has larger, rose red flowers. They grow quickly in moist, deep, slightly acid soils, so amend lean soils with compost or peat moss. Yellowish fall color.For reference only:
